Words can't even begin to say how blessed I am to have this people take care of ,not only my teeth but my family and friends as well. I moved a distance away but still make the drive because when you find a super dentist you keep coming back. Thank you to all the staff in your office and god bless you. You truly are a blessing to all.
The front desk staff seemed either short staffed or super busy because they were not being really friendly, but more in a rush to address my questions I had on my upcoming changes in insurance. The hygienist, Carissa on the other hand was great!! Always very friendly, professional, and the main reason I don’t mind going to the dentist anymore.
Where to begin, I went for a routine cleaning, and xrays. As long as I can remember the last times I have went, I was told that brightman was busy and would review my xrays and call if there was anything that needed work. This time, after my xrays they took me to a room for Brightman to take a look at my teeth. He didn’t even acknowledge me or say hello, just talked with the hygienist and then just started opening my mouth and poking with that metal pick. Then, proceeded more to talk to the hygienist. Finally, he told me that I had deep decay under a loose filling ( that he had done) and that my hygiene wasn’t up to par and that my hygienist could speak with me about that. He said my gums were swollen and bleeding and that I had tartar buildup. Ok, first of all, hard to believe that I had deep decay form in six months. Also, I don’t appreciate being told that my hygiene isn’t up to an acceptable standard and that the hygienist can talk with me about that. I have been coming every six months for a cleaning and I do know how to clean my teeth. It seemed to me like the filling he did became loose, stuff became trapped and started decaying and would’ve been seen earlier if he wasn’t always so busy to exam some ones teeth. He said I needed a crown and work done on the other side, I tried to ask a question and he just cut me off to tell the hygienist that I needed a special toothpaste and to have the hygienist explain it to me. So Carissa is my hygienist and she is always very nice. Without me telling her anything of my experience with Brightman, she tells me that I have no tartar buildup. Which Brightman told me I did have Tartar. She cleans my teeth very well. She is always gentle but makes sure to get every inch of your teeth clean. She tells me to use the toothpaste but they ran out so wrote me a prescription and said it was cheap. Well, it’s 26 dollars and insurance doesn’t cover it. Also, they wanted to make sure I booked my appointment to have the teeth fixed that had decay. I tried to ask what the cost would be and was told they would have to call me back to figure it out and still haven’t heard anything. Long story short, I love Carissa, the front desk is very friendly, but Brightman was very rude. I have referred a handful of patients to his office and will no longer be doing that. I don’t appreciate at all how I was treated in his office by him, not by his staff.
I’ve been going to Dr. Brightman’s for 16 years now. Always had a great experience with the service they provide. Dr. Shaw and Linda took really good care for me during my crown replacement procedure. They both ensured I was comfortable and answered all my questions. Dr. Shaw was very gentle, professional and kind.
