Fixodent, Poligrip denture creams, and others that contain zinc over the long term can lead to neuropathy, other neurological problems. You need a little zinc in your diet, but too much can poison you. If you use Fixodent, and experience numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arms or legs, or balance or movement problems, your denture cream may be poisoning you.

Most people who use denture creams like Fixodent and Poligrip don't know they contain zinc, let alone the health problems they can cause. Even swallowing small amounts of Fixodent over a long period of time may eventually make you sick.

This issue is only making news now. Lots of lawsuits have been filed. More info here.

how can this possibly prevented?
just in case a person experience the symptoms you told to us, what are the first aid or any measure that a person should do once he got this?
