false tooth is inaccurate term that usually used by patient.
to shorten the distance between you and your dentist you should know the different types of artificial teeth available.
artificial or false teeth is classified as below:
1-complete dentures : this form of prosthetics is usually used to treat a patient with fully edentulus jaw (upper or lower). it is usually made of acrylic resins and sometimes metals are used to fabricate such a prosthetics.
the better but sure much more expensive solution is the implant supported denture which is very stable and fixed in place.

2-removable partial prosthetics:
this type is used when the patient still got some healthy teeth left but also many edentulus spaces. it is usually made from metals and the teeth is acrylic or porcelain.
the options here will include bridges if the neighboring teeth is healthy or dental implants.the last two choices will coast more than the removable prosthetics.
3-dental bridges:
this type is bonded to the teeth in front and behind the edentulus space it is very comfortable and looks good. it is usually made from metals and tooth colored ceramics or even full ceramic

3- the last solution is using the dental implants which is supported by a fixture that is implanted inside the bone
